Andrew is born and bred in Otago, with 'blue and gold' running through his veins , brings to PGQ a 50 year passion for Otago/Southland and the Queenstown Lakes District. With a long background in the travel industry and experience of many corners of the planet - Andrew's biased view is that Heaven on Earth exists ... in Central Otago.... from the Alpine scenery down to those big central Otago landscapes.... the gold mining and early settler history and the world renowned attractions. Queenstown is an international destination I would be proud to help you experience. I'm best described as a very average Club golfer who plays the game to enjoy the companionship and conversation that follow every round. My goal is to ensure you get the very most out of your visit to the Queenstown region. Be it enjoying the spectacular Queenstown golf courses, the fabulous wineries and restaurants or even a pint down at the local. I would welcome the opportunity to host you in 'my' Queenstown. I have lived in the Queenstown area after moving here from Auckland. I share a passion for this area and truly believe that it has become a golfer’s paradise.
I have been a long term Central Otago golf representative and am currently captain of Arrowtown’s senior pennant team. Last year I was asked to take on the role of Master Caddy for the 100 Anniversary of the New Zealand Open held right here in Arrowtown.
I have 10 years of experience in the golf industry, and have worked closely with all the golf clubs in the Queenstown area. Whether we are on or off course my local knowledge can only assist in enjoying your time in this remarkable place I call home. Russell Gray
Director I am finally living permanently in Arrowtown and absolutely loving it. This little slice of paradise is simply stunning and continues to wow the many thousands of visitors that travel to the area. Whether you want to chill out or keep the pace up, there is literally something for everyone here. I have always been a keen sportsman and have a real passion for golf. The growth of this wonderful sport is truly amazing and there is no better place to play golf than right here in the Wakatipu Basin, where the choice of courses is fantastic and growing all the time. Getting to and from these courses and organizing tee times and club hire has often proved challenging for visitors, particularly if you want to play multiple courses over a few days. Not anymore! This is what PGQ has been established to do and I know that golfers will enjoy having someone independent and golf savvy to do all this for them. Happy Golfing |
